The public reacted.

Enough pressure.

The federal anti-corruption unit stepped in.

Investigations opened.

And then

The announcement.

Governor Kola Adebayo:

“I am stepping down temporarily.”

The state held its breath.

Days later

They met one last time.

No anger.

No shouting.

Just two people…

Who had seen too much.

“You didn’t defeat me,” he said calmly.

“You exposed the system.”

Adanna looked at him.

Steady.

Unmoved.

“And you chose to become it.”

Silence.

Then she walked away.

Not victorious.

Not broken.

Just… aware.

Because in Oluwada State
