EPISODE 1 – THE SMILE CAMPAIGN
Oluwada State was buzzing.
Banners hung across major roads. Billboards carried the same face, confident, calm, almost saint-like.
Governor Kola Adebayo.
Adanna Okeke adjusted her press tag as she stepped into the crowded campaign hall. Newly transferred from Abuja, she had seen enough politics to know one thing:
The louder the promise, the deeper the secret.
The governor stood on stage, dressed in crisp white, speaking about transparency, youth empowerment, and a “new Nigeria.”
The crowd cheered.
Cameras flashed.
He smiled.
But Adanna noticed something others didn’t.
His eyes were empty. Calculating. Watching.
Then it happened.
Their eyes met.
Just for a second.
But it felt… intentional"
After the press briefing, as journalists packed up, a voice came from behind her.
Low. Calm. Controlled.
“Welcome to my state.”
She turned.
Governor Kola.
It's closer than expected.
His smile returned polished, perfect.
Then he leaned slightly closer.
“Write carefully.”
Adanna didn’t respond.
But something inside her whispered:
